Part of the reason why the paper airplane industry is so stagnant is that all of these planes just look the same. The rise of cheap consumer paper products has allowed any schmuck with a bedroom construction hanger to call themselves an aeronautical engineer. But so many people use the same templates, the the same materials. This homogeneity is killing the scene. I long for the days of real analog paper airplane construction, when we’d build them for vibe, not sterile perfection.
