Perry from Premier Guitar – the stuff of legend amongst YouTube commenters for his unparalleled and, many times, off-putting enthusiasm – met up with Mario and Erick from CHON to talk rig.
Having gone some 8 years without any pedals besides a tuner, Mario’s now rocking an Earthquakered-out board with his Matchless and custom-painted floral Ibby. Erick’s setup is quite similar, the highlight being a prototype “AZ” Ibanez featuring special Seymour Duncan’s and frets that are smaller than a typical RG’s.
The CHON dudes are currently playing a handful of dates in the UK before returning stateside for a month-long North American run.
