Mayones Guitars makes some of the most ridiculously high-quality guitars I’ve ever played, and many of their models are right up my alley. I recently made a trip to their factory in Poland to see how the sausage is made and I can heartily confirm that their attention to detail is second to none.
So, of course, I had high expectations when they told me they had a new model coming out, and I was very lucky to be able to try it out at the 42 Gear Street event. The Aquila is a super strat, that much is obvious from a single glance. But what isn’t obvious unless you’re holding it is how crazy good it feels to play.
