Baltimore-based death metal act Visceral Disgorge have been preparing for the release of their newest album Slithering Evisceration, which drops on September 13th via Agonia Records! And in preparation for the release of the record, we’re pleased to present this exclusive dual guitar playthrough for the track “Necrotic Biogenesis”, only right here, on Gear Gods!
In the playthrough, guitarists Charlie Marvel and Steve Miles go hard right off the bat. The song is a pummeling cluster of tight deathcore riffs, relentless blast beats, and enough aggressive energy to keep you going in the pit for weeks to come. And about the track, the dudes had this to say:
“‘Necrotic Biogenesis’ is an amalgamation of crushingly heavy riffs, the groove that Visceral Disgorge is known for, and intense speed. We took the catchy hooks that people loved about ‘Ingesting Putridity’ and gave it a 270 bpm adrenaline boost which really brings out the raw aggression that brutal death metal is known for. As you can see, we had Vader Cabinets come out of hibernation to create these sick custom cabs in the video. Enjoy!”
And as for the gear, here’s what the guys are rocking:
Charlie Marvel:
- Legator NRX 350
- 2 Vader Custom shop cabinets
- Peavey 6505+ head
- Pedals: Fortin Amplification Zuul noise gate, Ibanez TS9 tube screamer, Korg Pitchblack tuner, all on a PedalTrain pedalboard with Mogami Gold cables.
Steve Miles:

- Pedals: Boss NS2 Noise Gate and Korg Pitchblack tuner
