TesseracT bassist Amos Williams might possibly be the smoothest man alive in the metal world. The UK-based musician has been holding down the low-end for years and has just released this bass playthrough for the opening track “Luminary” from their 2018 record Sonder. Watch and be amazed.
It’s easy to see just how much control Williams demonstrates here in the playthrough. He keeps the syncopated and groovy rhythms tight as can be, while adding the occasional ornament to what the guitars are doing throughout the song. As someone whose job might be the most important one in the band, Williams does the song justice and makes it look so damn easy.
