REVOCATION – Ash Pearson “Arbiters of the Apocalypse” Drum Playthrough

This live drum playthrough of “Arbiters of the Apocalypse” by Ash Pearson of Revocation is tighter than a nun’s rear end. Quicker than Usain Bolt on steroids, Ash smashes out some furious blast beats mixed with some rapid double pace action, while all the while remaining solid as a rock. You might recognise Ash from his previous band, battle-metal infused 3 Inches of Blood. If you’re playing fast death metal like these lads then you NEED somebody like Ash at the back holding everything down. Sloppy drumming just doesn’t cut it in these types of bands, so he has to be on point for everything, which he is. The kit sounds nice and poppy too, giving the playing an even bigger boost in order to cut through the wall of guitars that these guys bring.

These dudes are masters at what they do, heavy as fuck, fast paced death metal. They also like to keep things on the humorous side, if you haven’t seen their video for “The Grip Tightens” then I seriously recommend you check it out, for fans of blast beats and old people’s homes.

The band are currently on tour in Europe with a bunch of other bands whose logos are unreadable which must mean they are also sweet death metal bands. They are laying waste to venues night after night, so if you have the opportunity to catch them, then go do it and headbang from the waist.
