With the release of their latest album Pitfalls back in October of 2019, Norwegian prog rock outfit Leprous are here now with a drum playthrough for the track “The Sky Is Red” by drummer Baard Kolstad! Clocking in at over 11-minutes in length, this final banger on the new album is packed with tons of great parallels that only Leprous can pull off. Delicate to overwhelming dynamics, intricate to groove-fueled drum parts, and equally subdued and soaring melodic content all come together to form a truly unique song. And Baard’s drumming in this playthrough is definitely something anyone can admire, as the dude’s overall energy, focus, and chops are on another level. Okay, have we said enough? Check it!
