Wes Hauch Channels Dimebag In This Seymour Duncan Dimebucker Demo

Wes Hauch rips. As a guy who loves his classic metal, but also has a foundation in jazz and modern metal (as an alumnus of the Faceless and current member of Glass Casket) he can pretty much play anything.

If you follow him at all (or have ever glanced at his right forearm), you’ll know that he is a massive fan of Dimebag Darrell and Pantera. This is far from unusual, Pantera is still a hugely influential band despite their last recording being 15 years old, and their contribution to metal is unparalleled. Legions of metalheads worship at the altar of Dime – but there are few who can actually come close to pulling off the effortless mastery of his playing.

Wes demonstrates that he has the touch of the Dime in this demo of the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker pickup set, demonstrating perfect efficiency of motion while never skimping on the passion.

I also noticed the long-awaited Fractal Audio FX8 on his pedalboard, which fits this classic-meets-contemporary demonstration. I’m still a bit perplexed why this hasn’t hit the market yet, they must be hard at work.

I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
