Slipknot guitarist Jim Root has revealed via Instagram that he’s working on a new Charvel signature guitar. No release was mentioned aside from “coming soon,” but still – you can get a good look at both the black and white models below.
The Root signatures are Chavel San Dimas models with Maple necks and fingerboards, which Root points out in the comments section has been great for him in the studio. The models also feature Floyd Rose tremolo systems because as Root said, “All the guitars I ‘grew up’ playing had Floyds.” Each Root signature appears to come loaded EMG Jim Root Signature Daemonum humbuckers.
