Lamb Of God guitarist Mark Morton split with Jackson back in 2022 to join the Gibson family. Now it seems the first Morton signature is in the works, and it’s very… purple? Black and purple?
While nothing concrete has yet surfaced about the potential signature, speculation has begun thanks to the below Instagram post. Morton only captioned the photo “Big show tonight” but clearly the focus is the mysterious Les Paul leaning against the stage monitors. And if you zoom all the way in on the truss rod cover, you’ll see what appears to be Morton’s signature.
As the first comment on his Instagram puts it, “You’ve got a lot of great guitars but this one here might take the cake for its look.” So stay tuned for some potential Mark Morton news soon! Personally, I’m curious to see how this one shapes up, especially in its pickup choice – maybe they’re some kind of covered Dominion humbuckers?
