Fender has just unveiled their new line of Bassman pedals, which draw inspiration from the original bass tube amp line from years ago. The Bassman pedal line hosts a collection of meticulously crafted analog and digital circuits to really nail down whatever bass tone you’re after.
Each pedal features a panel of three knob-based controls, as well as two switches to further fine-tune your tone. The line is:
- Bassman Driver, which utilize a complement of JFET circuitry and dynamic clipping stages to emulate the behavior of a bass tube amp driven to breakup. The Bassman Driver has Level, Gain, and Blend knobs plus Voice and Mids switches
- Bassman Delay, which wields two professional DSP algorithms designed specifically to repeat bass signal. The Bassman Delay has Time, Feedback, and Level knobs plus Type and Low switches
- Bassman Fuzz, which offers two voices of speaker-pumping grit and all the right controls to keep your low end solid. The Bassman Fuzz has Level, Fuzz, and Blend knobs plus Voice and Focus switches
- Bassman Reverb, which specializes in delivering ambience while keeping low-end transients clear, thanks to the low cut control. The Bassman Reverb has Time, Low Cut, and Level knobs plus Type and Pre switches
- Bassman Compression, which employs smooth RMS compression – the same compression circuitry used in the most prominent studio rack compressors. The Bassman Compression has Level, Comp, and Blend knobs plus Ratio and RLS switches
The Bassman pedals are available here for $119 each.
