Chase Bliss has discontinued five of their pedals – the Condor HiFi, Preamp MKII, Thermae, Dark World, and Warped Vinyl HiFi – in Europe due to new regulations. According to Chase Bliss, all five pedals use a component called LDR (or Vactrol) that are no longer allowed in the UK and the European Union. Customers in the U.S. can get ’em here as the pedals will not longer be in circulation once this stock sells out.
“We’ve got a pretty big announcement today. We’re discontinuing 5 of our pedals,” wrote Chase Bliss.
“Before I get into anything else, I want to say that we do still have stock of all 5, but unfortunately we can only sell them in the U.S. We’ve set up a special website for this: http://chaseblisslegacy.com
“The full explanation is linked in our bio, but I’ll attempt the briefest summary here: What these 5 pedals have in common is the use of a component called an LDR (sometimes known as a Vactrol). We’ve learned that these parts are not compliant with market access requirements in the UK and the European Union.
“We’re selling off the remaining stock as U.S-only because it’s the only region where we’re confident of the regulations. Thanks for the support and understanding, check out the blog if you’re interested in the full explanation and feel free to write us with any questions at help@chasebliss.com.”
