Sweetwater has just launched their brand new Beach Boys Studio Effects collection. The collection features contributions from Benson Amps, Keeley Effects, and JHS Pedals in celebration of the new Disney+ documentary, The Beach Boys, due out on May 24. So what’s even in the collection? Well, five things:
- Benson Amps Surf’s Up Tube Spring Reverb and Optical Tremolo, which is driven by a 6V6 power tube, a 12AT7, and a trio of 12AX7s. The Surf’s Up pays tribute to the big-box combo amps of the mid-1960s
- JHS Good Vibrations Chorus/Vibrato Pedal, which is a pedal channeling late-1960s sounds with a vintage bulb-driven circuit
- JHS Punchline Bass Station Pedal, which offers a VCA compressor, an overdrive tailored to bass, a vintage amp simulator, and robust 3-band EQ
- Keeley California Girls Twelve String Simulator Pedal, which utilizes chorus, octave effects, and slapback echo to give you a big ol’ 12-string sound
- Keeley I Get Around Rotary Simulator Pedal, which channels the psychedelic era with an ear-grabbing rotary speaker simulation
