In one of his more provocative moves, last month graffiti/street artist Banksy opened up a “hotel” across from the Israeli security barrier in Bethlehem, West Bank, the Walled Off Hotel. This is real thing that tourists are staying at (after passing through security checkpoints) which features walls adorned with Banksy’s trademark gonzo, politically activist artwork – and a presidential suite that rents for just under $1k a night.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross composed music for the project, which will be “performed” nightly on a player piano. One piece of which, “Green Lines,” can be streamed below. It’s a gorgeous little minimalist piece, comprising some refreshingly simple dueling piano melodies. Check it out below:
