Progressive metal giants Dream Theater have been gearing up for the release of their 14th studio album Distance Over Time, and have just put out this in-studio full-band playthrough video for the first single “Untethered Angel”. The song is pretty par for the course as far as new DT jams go, and features some big choruses, polyrhythmic riffages, solos, and an all-around seamless progression throughout. We’re hoping to see some positive feedback on the new album once it drops, as their previous effort The Astonishing was received with mixed feelings from many fans.
