Like many drummers and engineers out there, I’ve spent an ungodly amount of money on moon gels over the years. IÂ know you can wash them, and technically they should last me longer than they have, but the thrifty hands of drummers and general equipment chaos has led me to lose countless gels.
So at NAMM, Evans introduced a solution for people like me: their new Reso 7 drumhead. This head is meant to (as implied by its title), control the ringing sustain of drums from the source, while maintaining a warm response via its 7mil coating film. If it’s too hard for you to tell the difference in resonances from our video, well, then you didn’t watch our guide to NAMM and train appropriately!
