Entheos are somewhat of a difficult band to pin down, genre-wise I mean. They come from an area whose underground metal music culture was a mix of technical death metal and hardcore, usually erring on the technical side of things. The San Francisco Bay area is responsible for bands like Arsonists Get All the Girls, Animosity, and Decrepit Birth. It’s awesome to see Entheos not only carrying this sound but progressing and extrapolating on it.
They just finished up a US tour with Rivers of Nihil, and as you can see from the KERRANG video above, they’re throwing down hard in this live performance of their album Dark Future in its entirety at the famed Saint Vitus venue in Brooklyn. The band is tight as can be, and this is truly a tech death album for the ages.
