Progressive rock and metal outfit SATYR recently dropped their full-length album Locus back in February of this year, and the Atlanta, GA-based group has been going hard ever since. Now, the boys have found themselves smackin’ whammies all up in the court (there’s some tennis lingo for ya) in this exclusive music video for their track “Aesop”, only right here, on Gear Gods!
The first thing that comes to mind when listening to the music of SATYR is fun. So much goddamn fun. Part of their sound is strangely familiar, while still being entirely new and exciting. If you’re a fan of bands like Dance Gavin Dance, Tides of Man, and CHON, or if you play tennis, this shit is gonna be right up your alley. Punchy, aggressive, and relentlessly catchy, these dudes have tapped into a formula that hits in all the right places. And talk about an absolutely stellar mix by Corey Bautista –these guys have really made something special here.
Be sure to get Locus on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Apple Music, and to follow these dudes on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and their website.
