If you’re a fan of technical metal with a good amount of orchestral influence, New Jersey-based metal band Lorna Shore are probably right up your alley. The band is known for combining heavy-as-hell riffage with intense strings passages, all tied together with the use of some pretty sinister melodies. And to get you in that evil spirit this season (muahaha) , they’ve brought us this exclusive playthrough for the song “Denounce the Light” off their 2017 record Flesh Coffin, only right here, on Gear Gods!
In the video, guitarists Adam and Austin kick their playing up a notch as they jam out to the track. With chord progressions reminiscent of early black metal, lightning-fast tremolo picking, and all the blast beats you can handle, these dudes definitely bring their A-game. And by incorporating some pretty lush strings and choirs sections throughout the song, the whole piece just becomes elevated to the next level. Nice work, fellas.
The band is currently gearing up for the Never Say Die! Tour in November with Emmure, Deez Nuts, Chelsea Grin, Kublai Kahn, Sworn In, and Polaris. Dates can be found below, and you can acquire mad tickets/read more about the tour here. And to get your mitts on the killer album Flesh Coffin, check their webstore. Stay fleshy.
