Turbid North are a band diverse not only in the point of origin of their members (Texas, Alaska, England), but also in their stylistic leanings. They go from proggy to blasty to doomy all in the span of one song, but it never sounds forced. Guiding these smooth changes with ease is the band’s spectacular drummer Jono Garrett, who demonstrates his immense talent at not just slamming the drums, but also finely orchestrating each part, serving the song and feeling the groove.
The song in question is “Eyes Alive”, which is taken from their album of the same name that came out just last month.
