We’re back with part II of our Behind The Board feature, once again with Eyal Levi and talking drum production. Also once again the focus is less on “the ideal angle to put your SM57 is exactly 45 degrees pointing towards the center of the snare” and more “here’s what you need to do to be properly prepared or else it’ll be way tougher to wind up with a great recording.”
An aside though: seriously, Audiohammer Studios‘ kitchen is in the live room?
And if you haven’t seen part one of the series, this hyperlink will hook you up.

Spend three days on drum tones then sound replace most of it and what’s left gets destroyed when it gets slammed in mastering.
