A couple weeks back, we discussed a few things that you could do INSTEAD of buying a new guitar, focused on enjoying the instruments you already down. One of the things we didn’t cover was doing some DIY custom painting work on a plain-looking guitar, such as the “swirling” method that the good folks at Electric Guitar Buzz recently went over.
This actually seems pretty complicated – a summer project to enjoy with friends – but the results are pretty awesome. Check out a couple videos demonstrating the process, along with a playthrough featuring a swirly new Eddie Van Halen-esque color-scheme guitar below:
