THREAT SIGNAL – Travis Montgomery Talks New Album, Aristides Guitars

A week ago I attended Aristides day, an event where attendees were treated to performances by the likes of Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal), Dane Markanson (Glass Cloud), Sean Hall, Josh Seguin (P.D.P.) and more, and could get their hands on these crazy Dutch guitars. Usually the only time to get your grubbies on one is during NAMM, but I got to play the new 080 8 string and it was rad.

I was also lucky to nail down an interview with Travis regarding the making of the new Threat Signal album, one that has been long awaited by their fans (their last one was 2011’s eponymous disc) and his newfound love for Aristides guitars.

Check back soon, I shot some cool footage of Travis and the others shredding it up on the day, it was a crazy day of incendiary performances.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
