If you answered yes to all of these questions, then it’s your fucking birthday.

Converse’s Rubber Tracks studio is hosting a catered, day-long workshop on recording live instruments at their Brooklyn location this coming Saturday, January 11th. It promises to be very hands-on, and will also be led by The Machine Shop‘s William Putney and engineer Kevin Antreassian of Backroom Studios. If you don’t know who these guys are, you need only view their discographies to fill your drawers. This looks like it’ll be a learning experience on par with the Creativelive Eyal Levi Advanced Drum Production Workshop we told you about earlier this week, so if you can go, you should.

An important note – you must apply for a spot at the workshop by clicking here. I just want to tell you good luck, we’re all counting on you.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
