In an interview with Orange Amps founder Cliff Cooper I did a few years back, I asked him about the future of Orange, and what was next for the brand that has such an iconic sound that hasn’t much changed. I was surprised when he said he didn’t really know, that they had such a firmly established brand that he wasn’t really interested in any major changes. And why should they? If it ain’t broke, right?
Since then it’s been cool to watch them branch out in creative ways without really changing much about what Orange is. Mainly, it’s been the format of how the Orange sound is delivered that they’ve been adding to, and ever-shrinking it is.
Newest in that line of thinking is the Terror Stamp, a pedalboard amp head that delivers 20 watts of Orange tone in the smallest package yet. I took a closer look and demo’d the tiny beast in this video and it was a pretty good time, check it out above!
