One of these days we’ll get a polka remix of our favorite metal tunes, and I’ll crank that shit for a week until the meme gets old. As Charlie Benate himself admitted recently, up tempo metal beats like the one in Anthrax’s “I Am the Law” are essentially just polka.
It’d be an even funnier mash-up to mix polka with Veil of Maya, though, because Polka breakdowns? That’s the kind of Rocktoberfest I can bang my head to. Unfortunately you’ll just have to imagine it over the one-two thumping of Sam Applebaum’s “We Bow in its Aura” playthrough. One day our dreams will come to fruition.
