One of the most interesting progressive metal albums to drop this year is Black Table‘s Obelisk. Recorded at Backroom Studios by the legendary Billy Anderson and mastered by Colin Marston, this slab of oddity prances between subgenres, textures, and styles.
Frank Huang from Pit Full of Shit recently had a chance to film this music in action at Backroom – a dual playthrough by bassist DJ Scully and drummer Mike Kadnar, for the track “Obtuse.” Check it out below, and nab a copy of Obelisk at this link if you dig.
