Walrus Audio is basically encouraging you to level your house with their new Eras high-gain distortion pedal. The pedal essentially lets you go completely nuts with some seriously crushing tones, or act in tandem with your other distortion pedals depending on where you set the Blend knob.
At its heart, the Eras pedal offers five different gain states. They are:
- Tight mode with a slight mid-cut, LED hard clipping, and internal volume control. Fastest response, great for palm muting.
- Tight mode with a slight mid-cut and silicon hard clipping. Smooth with added compression.
- Dual clipping mode with a slight mid-cut and both silicon and LED hard clipping. Rich and full with added sustain.
- Rhythm mode with a deeper mid-cut, LED hard clipping, and internal volume control. Scooped mids, tight response.
- Rhythm mode with a deeper mid-cut and silicon hard clipping. Rhythmic, warm and full.
The Eras pedal offers five different clipping options via the Mode knob, and then your standard Volume and Gain controls alongside an EQ section.
