Orange Amplification is now streaming a quick look at the brand new ES60 – a 60-watt acoustic amplifier designed with Ed Sheeran to deliver professional sound, even if you’re busking. Combining battery-powered portability, flexible dual-channel operation, and stage-ready connectivity, the ES60 aims to be an all-in-one solution.
The acoustic guitar channel of the Orange Outlowd ES60 borrows design elements from Orange’s acclaimed Acoustic Pedal, featuring comprehensive Bass, Middle, and Treble controls alongside a sweepable mid-frequency EQ with adjustable Q for detailed tonal shaping. Hall reverb adds spaciousness while preserving the natural character of acoustic instruments.
A second independent channel is equally well equipped for vocals, featuring a combination XLR/¼-inch input, switchable +48V phantom power for condenser microphones, a high-pass filter, full EQ with sweepable mids, and its own Plate reverb.
Unlike many battery-powered acoustic amps that prioritize convenience over output, the ES60 delivers a full 60 watts of clean headroom. That additional power allows acoustic guitars and vocals to remain clear, warm, and natural even as stage volume increases, making the amplifier suitable for busking, rehearsals, coffeehouse performances, and smaller venues.
Orange also includes an effects loop, allowing players to integrate external delays, reverbs, and modulation pedals without compromising signal quality.
Bluetooth audio streaming makes rehearsing with backing tracks or providing music between sets effortless, while the balanced line output enables direct connection to front-of-house systems or recording interfaces. This flexibility allows performers to use the ES60 as both a personal monitor and a front-end acoustic rig for larger venues.
