Orange has expanded its solid-state Baby Series with the Baby Terror, a compact 20-watt amplifier head that combines the company’s classic lunchbox format with a more comprehensive control set.
Unlike the original Micro Terror’s simplified layout, the Baby Terror offers a full Gain, Volume, three-band EQ, and Presence control section, allowing players to dial in everything from sparkling cleans to saturated overdrive. A dedicated Tubby switch adds extra low-end warmth at lower gain settings, giving clean tones additional body before automatically stepping aside as higher-gain sounds call for a tighter response.
The Baby Terror also introduces a footswitchable second volume control, providing an instant solo boost without altering the amp’s gain or EQ settings.
Despite its compact footprint, the Baby Terror is equipped with features designed for modern rigs. An onboard effects loop keeps time-based effects such as delay and reverb clear, while a balanced line output with ground lift allows direct recording into an audio interface or PA system.
Because the output delivers the preamp signal, players can pair it with their favorite impulse responses and cabinet simulators inside a DAW for silent recording and re-amping applications.
The amp also includes an 8/16-ohm speaker output for use with external cabinets and ships with a padded gig bag for easy transport.
