Björn Again: IN FLAMES Guitarist’s New “Jotun” Signature LES PAUL Guitar Now Available

In Flames guitarist Björn Gelotte has some pretty exciting gear news as of late. The Swedish musician recently joined forces with the team at Epiphone to birth a brand-new signature Les Paul guitar model: the “Jotun” Custom Outfit. The word “Jotun” refers to a race of giants in ancient Norse mythology, and this guitar sure fits that bill.

The second signature model that Björn has designed, the “Jotun” Custom Outfit comes loaded with EMG “Metalworks” Active Pickups, an Ebony fingerboard, and Grover® Roto-Matic Machine Heads, all tied together with an icy Bone White finish. Now, that’s cool and all, but the real selling point of this guitfiddle has got to be the stainless steel bottle opener on the back of the guitar. You just never see that on a guitar, and it might just become the new standard for a lot of guitar-manufacturers out there. This one in particular might be the ultimate gigging guitar if you play a lot of bars and clubs (see below).

To get more specs on Bjorn’s new signature Les Paul, head over to the Epiphone website and take it all in. You can also track down a dealer near you if this is everything you’ve ever wanted in a guitar. Be warned though, you must be at a legal drinking age to riff out on this beauty.
