This is also the second Billie Joe Armstrong-related piece of gear we’ve gotten this week, as Marshall rolled out a signature amp as well. Though this is a hell of a lot cheaper.

Developed in collaboration with Armstrong, the guitar sticks to the straightforward formula that has long defined his sound. It features a slab Mahogany body, glued-in Mahogany neck with a 50s Vintage profile, and a rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and pearloid dot inlays.

The Kalamazoo-style headstock is fitted with Epiphone Vintage Deluxe tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and Armstrong’s signature on the back.

Hardware includes a compensated Lightning Bar wraparound bridge for improved intonation and sustain, along with a black single-ply Les Paul Junior pickguard. Electronics are equally simple, centering on a single Epiphone P-90 PRO pickup controlled by master volume and tone knobs with CTS potentiometers.

The guitar ships with a custom black hardshell case featuring a leopard-print interior and is available for a limited time in the new Radiant Red finish.

Get the Epiphone Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior for $649 here via Sweetwater, or here via Guitar Center and here via Musician’s Friend.
