A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for veteran producer and engineer Steve Evetts following a devastating fire that destroyed his New Jersey studio on May 3, 2026.
Tragically, on May 3, 2026, Evetts suffered a devastating loss when his studio burned down despite none of it being his own fault. In a matter of hours, Evetts lost his creative home, all of his gear, and a career’s worth of memorabilia, plaques, photos, records, and so much more.
While insurance will help cover the value of the lost gear, it won’t come close to covering the true cost of rebuilding a new studio space. The expenses of construction, setup, and treatment are crushing – and that’s putting it lightly.
A GoFundMe has been launched to help Evetts with the cost of rebuilding, which you can donate to right here. The GoFundMe is seeking $250,000 and is on the rise as I’m writing this. So it’s kinda pointless to say where it’s at, given the constant change.
And if you don’t think you know Evetts work, yes you do. Some of the albums he’s produced on over the years include (and this is barely scratching the surface):
- Incantation – Onward to Golgotha (1992)
- Demolition Hammer – Time Bomb (1994)
- Deadguy – Fixation on a Co-Worker (1995)
- Snapcase – Progression Through Unlearning (1997)
- Hatebreed – Satisfaction Is the Death of Desire (1997)
- The Dillinger Escape Plan – The Dillinger Escape Plan (1997)
- God Forbid – Reject the Sickness (1999)
- Sepultura – Nation (2001)
- He Is Legend – Suck Out the Poison (2006)
- Every Time I Die – The Big Dirty (2007)
- Architects – The Here And Now (2011)
- The Wonder Years – Suburbia I’ve Given You All and Now I’m Nothing (2011)
- Suicide Silence – The Black Crown (2011)
- Warbringer – Worlds Torn Asunder (2011)
- DevilDriver – Dealing with Demons I (2020)
