FIND OF THE WEEK: PRS Releases Private Stock 35th Anniversary Dragon Guitar

It’s that time of year when us dorky bois get to foam at the mouth over all of the spectacular gear that is being pumped out surrounding the NAMM season. Often times the most difficult part of this whole tradition is the fact that we frequently have to wait until May before we can ACTUALLY get our hands on the new stuffs. However, for this next piece of gear, I am assuming that most of us will have to wait much longer than May. Actually, probably until after retirement because these puppies always carry a hefty price tag.

That’s right, I am talking about the thirty-fifth anniversary edition of the Private Stock Dragon Guitar that PRS has been releasing since 1992. This guitar is a true work of art that is based off of their McCarty model. It features a McCarty-thickness back, PRS stop tail bridge, a classic volume and push/pull tone control, and a 3-way toggle electronics layout, but with TCI pickups from Paul’s Guitar and tweaked Phase III locking tuners. This beauty is also fitted with a hand-selected curly maple top, African ridden mahogany back, a chaltecoco pattern neck with a 25″ scale length, and a 22 fret ziricote fingerboard.
