Erik Rutan, death metal overlord best known for his work with Morbid Angel, Hate Eternal, and Cannibal Corpse, has teamed up with B.C. Rich for a signature Ironbird 7 string model.
No word on when the signature model is hitting stores, but Rutan and B.C. Rich have released all the specs alongside some pretty enticing photos. The Erik Rutan Ironbird has a no heel Neck-Thru Mahogany body with a 3-piece C-Shape Mahogany neck with a 24-fret Ebony fretboard. The Erik Rutan Ironbird comes with a Floyd Rose for all your divebomb riff needs, and a Floyd Rose Original 7.
For pickups, the The Erik Rutan Ironbird employs a Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Alnico in the neck and a Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker Ceramic in the bridge.
