Municipal Waste‘s upcoming Slime and Punishment is one of the most fun albums of the year: a blast of all-nonsense speed-punk. It’s been a few years since the band put out a record – and for Slime, they went a slightly more DIY route than before. Where the band have previously enlisted top-name producers like Zeuss to handle their recording, bassist LandPhil self-recorded Slime at his “Blaze of Torment” studios (aka his house).
Meanwhile, the mixing and mastering was handled by the legendary Bill Metoyer (D.R.I., Slayer, Cirith Ungol, etc), one of the true icons of heavy music engineering. Bill sat down with guitarist Ryan Waste for a little chat about the album, which you can view below.
