France’s Lâg Guitars is a brand I’m not too familiar with. The only time I’ve seen one in action was very recently in the hands of Aborted guitarist Mendel Bij De Leij.
That was, of course, until I saw this video from French up-and-coming prog band Klone:
Tell me that’s not one of the most beautiful little pieces of music you’ve ever heard? That takes me someplace nice and fuzzy, not to mention makes me want to hear their new album Here Comes The Sun, out now. They’re a bit like Opeth with the emphasis on the jangly prog more than the grind.
It makes sense for a French band to team up with a French guitar maker, especially considering the price of shipping things around Europe. I imagine everyone gets more bang for their buck that way.
Klone are playing Lâg’s Roxane model guitars, which are apparently only available in France, so that’s weak, but they do make a number of models you can get other places, so check out their website to see what they’ve got cooking.
