Do you guys jam Sylosis? Their brand of djenty thrash doesn’t really whet my whistle, but I know they have their fans, and there’s no denying that the musicians in this band have some chops.
That definitely goes for drummer Ali Richardson, who went to a lot of trouble for his live playthrough video for “Teras” off 2008’s Conclusion of an Age. Ali actually isolated his tracks, which were recorded live with Logic, so this playthrough has a really clean sound that allows you to hear exactly what he’s doing. This mix is apparently what Ali hears in his in-ear monitors during the show from his own parts.
