Orange Amps recently released the Outlowd ES3, the smallest and most portable model in its Outlowd ES Series of acoustic amplifiers. Developed in collaboration with Ed Sheeran, the ES3 is aimed at players who want a more polished sound at home rather than raw volume on stage.

At its core, the ES3 is a 3-watt RMS acoustic amp and Bluetooth speaker in one compact unit. Controls are kept simple: shape, reverb, and volume, running right to left. The built-in reverb is designed to add space and resonance to an acoustic guitar’s tone, giving it more room feel during everyday practice without needing to crank the volume.
Bluetooth connectivity lets the ES3 double as a standalone speaker, and Orange says it’s been voiced specifically for music playback — not just as an afterthought to the guitar input. That means players can stream backing tracks or full songs and jam along in real time, making the amp function as a practice hub as much as an amplifier.
Power comes from either USB-C charging or an internal Li-Ion battery, and the unit includes a leather carry strap and a rugged metal grille finished in Orange’s signature black-and-orange styling. Combined with its small footprint, the ES3 is built for bedrooms, desks, and writing corners — spaces where a full-size amp would be overkill or prone to feedback.
