The line between insanity and genius is very fine – as fine as cracks in the ice.

Tim Linhart moved from the US to Sweden to pursue his wacky dream, to build musical instruments from ice. His dream has taken form as Ice Music, a concert hall in Swedish Lapland where you can hear his ice creations come to life in concerts where they are played by professional musicians.

In this video, Tim describes his journey and we get to see a bit of how his instruments are made, and hear them on stage.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
