The Dillinger Escape Plan are preparing to crawl back out of a New Jersey swamp after a few months of downtime. The band have teased new music, while the long-rumored side project of Ben Weinman and Brent Hinds of Mastodon, Giraffe Tongue Orchestra, have been recording with the incredible actress Juliette Lewis (Cape Fear, Strange Days, Natural Born Killers, From Dusk Til Dawn, etc etc).
To tide you over for those two releases, Washed Up Media has presented us with a live video for “Prancer” off the band’s 2013 release One of Us is the Killer. This video was shot at three DEP shows over the summer: Backroom Studios in New Jersey, at Saint Vitus Bar in Brooklyn, and at Revolution in Amityville. This video doesn’t simulate what it feels like to be at one of this band’s shows, but it comes pretty darn close. We also get some great shots from and around drummer Billy Rymer’s POV, a view typically reserved for Weinman and frontman Greg Puciato before they fly to another planet.
Speaking of DEP, Puciato moonlights as a baseball-bat wielding psychopath in the new Retox video for “Let’s Not Keep in Touch.” Don’t sleep on this band – a new project from San Diego icon Justin Pearson – their last album YPLL was great, and their upcoming album, Beneath California, is sure to be a ripper. Check it out below:

I honestly expected more. Quality of the video is amazing, but they aren’t going off. Ben stays on stage. Rareform.
