Alexi Laiho Talks Technique and Tone

Whatever happened to guitar nerds jocking Alexi Laiho? When I was in high school/middle school, people used to beat off to Children of Bodom. I was never a huge fan of the band, so I never quite followed their trajectory/fall from scene popularity, but it is strange that in the renewed era of interest in guitar acrobatics, Alexi Laiho seems to be all but absent from the conversation.

So maybe COB are due for a revival outside of their core fanbase? The folks at EMGtv have just posted a (all too brief) video lesson where Laiho reveals one of his technical secrets. Check it out below:
