Animals As Leaders drummer Matt Garstka and solo guitarist Josh De La Victoria have just dropped their first live, dual playthrough video for a brand-new track entitled “Kepler”! Under the name Victoria, this appears to be the first live playthrough the young musician has released alongside Garstka, and boy does it make a first impression!
The track itself immediately carries you through a swirling landscape of multiple rhythmic and harmonic ideas, while both Victoria and Garstka do what they do best behind their respective instruments. The song is ridiculously complex, yet totally groove-based as the drums and guitars flow seamlessly in and out of sync throughout the over-7-minute beast. And filmed and tracked at the iconic Sphere Studios in Los Angeles, CA, the duo tears it up in this beautiful, multi-angle live playthrough.
