Hear Kevin Talley Djent with Omega Diatribe

Saying Kevin Talley has been in many bands is like saying Ron Jeremy has been in many women. It’s an understatement, to say the least. The Dying Fetus/Suffocation/Daath/Feared/Chimaira/Misery Index/Battlecross/Hate Eternal/Six Feet Under/The Black Dahlia Murder drummer is a self-professed studio drummer, and will record tracks for you for your pesos. And if this track is any indication, it’s worth every shilling. Also, there’s a lesson here – if you have a skill, you should insist on being paid for it. You are worth as much as you are willing to ask for.

Omega Diatribe are a band from Hungary who were willing to pay the man to play on their new song “Hydrozoan Periods”. Unfortunately there is no video of Talley playing the song, but as it is music, you can try something new and just LISTEN to it. All kidding aside, this track grooves pretty hard.

Side note, their singer has tattoos ON HIS EYEBALLS. How’s your commitment level today?

Check them out on their Bandcamp page here, or enlist the services of Kevin here.

If you’ve tried my “listening” technique and now need some damn visual input, here’s a video of a guitar playthrough by their guitarist on a different song.

As Editor-in-Chief of Gear Gods, I've been feeding your sick instrument fetishism and trying unsuccessfully to hide my own since 2013. I studied music on both coasts (Berklee and SSU) and now I'm just trying to put my degree to some use. That's a music degree, not an English one. I'm sure you noticed.
