Chained Saint has been making waves throughout the metal world, and now that includes through GearGods! We’ve teamed up with Chained Saint guitarist Ethan Kahn for a killer playthrough of “Dark Side of the Cross”, which you can check out in all its shreddy glory below.
“Dark Side of the Cross” is one of Ethan Kahn’s favorite songs from Chained Saint’s debut album, Blindside. Recorded shortly after Ethan’s 16th birthday at West End Sound in Atlanta, Georgia, the album was produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains and captured entirely on analog tape.
For this playthrough, Ethan used on a Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR in Gloss Black paired with a Marshall JCM800 2203 driving a traditional Marshall full stack, producing the tight low end, cutting mids, and classic heavy metal character. The full list of gear includes:
