Drummer extraordinaire Anup Sastry recently played drums on Monuments guitarist Olly Steele’s new solo single “Balance”! You’ve probably heard the song by now, but if you haven’t, stop reading this and go here immediately before continuing. It’s everything you want and more, and Anup absolutely crushes this live drum playthrough for the jam.
About the playthrough, here’s what Anup had to say:
“This is a play through for the song titled ‘Balance’, by Olly Steele. Olly was kind enough to reach out regarding me tracking the drums for this single. This was a lot of fun to record drums for. Olly does a great job writing drum parts himself. So almost all of the writing credits on drums definitely goes to Olly. Enjoy! Olly plays for the band ‘Monuments’, and he’s a good friend of mine. We’ve worked together on a couple of projects now, and I hope to continue working on music together.”
