The SA-126 Standard was conceived by Wolfgang Van Halen as a true hybrid: part semi-hollow, part solidbody, and fully uncompromising. Its Mahogany body is chambered for enhanced resonance, reinforced with a Mahogany center block for stability and focus, and capped with a Maple top framed by masked natural binding. This combination yields a guitar that is as visually striking as it is sonically versatile.
The baked Maple neck, reinforced with graphite rods, offers unmatched reliability for heavy touring or studio use. Its Rosewood fingerboard with a 12″-16″ compound radius, 22 jumbo frets, and reimagined block inlays strikes a perfect balance between classic styling and modern playability. And with the addition of a spoke wheel truss rod adjustment at the neck heel, setup tweaks are fast and effortless.
At the heart of the SA-126 Standard are the all-new EVH humbuckers, designed in collaboration with Fender pickup guru Tim Shaw. These pickups handle just about anything: glassy cleans, articulate crunch, and the kind of gain-drenched aggression Wolfgang himself is known for.
A 3-way toggle on the upper horn controls bridge, neck, or blended tones, while independent volume and tone knobs give players complete control over their sound. From dynamic rhythms to searing solos, the SA-126 Standard is engineered to excel in any style.
