If you weren’t at NAMM this year, then you missed out on Ryan “Fluff” Bruce walking everyone through his brand new Ernie Ball Music Man StingRay RS model. Well, that or if you just wanna watch it again, it’s streaming in full below.
The StingRay RS features a Honduran Mahogany body, Figured Roasted Maple neck with a Figured Roasted Maple fretboard, a modern classic hardtail bridge, and both Aqua Sparkle and Tealy Dan finish options. The Stingray RS comes loaded with “Fluff” Signature Fishman Humbucking pickup, which offers two modes suited for higher and lower gain, both of which are easily accessible via a push-pull knob. The Stingray RS comes tuned to Drop C# for all them chunky riffs.
“It’s just mean to be a rock machine,” said Fluff. “And with the hardtail, instead of the trem, because I don’t really use the trem. Honestly, we compared. My actual one-off guitar, that looks identical to this, has a trem. This resonated more and I just liked how it felt.”
