Warm Audio has partnered with boutique builder Dirty Boy Pedals to introduce the Dirty Boy Jr. Series. Developed alongside Dirty Boy owner Danny Gomez, the new lineup includes the Dirty Boy Jr. Overdrive, Dirty Boy Jr. Booster, and Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz, each designed to preserve the tone and feel of the original hand-built pedals.
Dirty Boy Pedals traces its roots back to custom pedal builds created by Alex Saraceno for his son, guitarist Blues Saraceno. Over the years, the company’s analog designs developed a devoted following among players including John Frusciante, Neal Schon, Tom DeLonge, Phil X, Tim Pierce, Mark Lettieri, Justin Derrico, and members of Linkin Park.
“For me, choosing the right partner was everything because these circuits have a history and personality that I wasn’t willing to compromise,” Gomez said. “Warm Audio understands how to build authentic circuits the right way.”
Dirty Boy Jr. Overdrive
Based on the original Dirty Boy Preamp, the Dirty Boy Jr. Overdrive combines an overdrive, preamp, and all-analog amp simulator into a single pedal. Powered by Dirty Boy’s proprietary T.A.E. technology, it includes both a preamp output and a speaker-emulated output for direct recording or live applications.
A standout feature is the Variac control, which recreates the feel of a sagging tube amplifier by adding compression, dynamic breakup, and vintage-style response.
Dirty Boy Jr. Booster
Derived from the original Ball Buster circuit, the Dirty Boy Jr. Booster covers everything from transparent clean boost to gritty British-inspired overdrive. It offers up to 10dB of gain, along with dedicated Treble and Bass controls and a three-position High/Mid/Low Frequency switch for tailoring its response to different guitars and amplifiers.
Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz
The Dirty Boy Jr. Fuzz recreates the celebrated Afro Fuzz circuit, delivering thick sustain, rich harmonic content, and excellent cleanup with a guitar’s volume control. Its signature six-position Frequency selector allows players to shape the pedal’s voice across a broad range of vintage and modern fuzz textures.
