Walrus Audio has given its Fable and Lore ambient pedals a major overhaul with new MKII versions, expanding both with stereo operation and a host of new control options.
The $349.99 Fable Stereo Granular Soundscape Generator MKII remains focused on delay and granular processing, pairing two effects across separate feedback paths to create everything from reversed textures and octave-shifted cascades to glitchy clouds and randomized pitch effects. Its five modes combine reverse, forward, and analog-style delays with various granular algorithms, including reverse, octave-up, octave-down, multi-tap, and randomized pitch processing.
The Lore Stereo Reverse Soundscape Generator MKII is also $349.99, but focuses on reverse delay, reverb, and pitch shifting. Its five modes cover Reverse Delay into Reverse Reverb, octave-up and octave-down reverbs, dual reverse/forward reverbs, and a pair of pitch delays capable of creating sequencer- and harmonizer-like effects.
Both pedals now feature Walrus Audio’s Tweak control for accessing Width, modulation rate and shape, Shift, and Ramp parameters. There’s also a momentary Dive/Rise function for shifting the pedal’s clock rate while holding the tap-tempo footswitch.
The Fable and Lore MKII each offer three onboard presets plus 127 additional presets over MIDI. Every knob can be controlled through MIDI CC or assigned to an expression pedal, while selectable Trails and No Trails bypass modes round out the expanded feature set.
Both pedals are available now for $349.99.
